Reuben Fisher
Founder, Co-host and CommunicationsReuben Fisher is co-host of The Masonic Mic and a member of The Avon Shirley Lodge No.185 in Christchurch.
With a strong interest in Masonic education, history, philosophy and the lived experience of Freemasonry, Reuben brings a thoughtful and conversational approach to the podcast.
His interviewing style often looks beyond offices and titles to explore what drew people into the Craft, what keeps them there, and how its principles translate into everyday life.
Through The Masonic Mic, Reuben helps create a space where Masons can speak openly about their experiences, ideas and the challenges facing Freemasonry in New Zealand today.
Dan Painter
Founder, Co-host and ProducerDan Painter is co-host and producer of The Masonic Mic, exploring the people, ideas and experiences behind Freemasonry. A member of the Lodge of Progress No. 22, Dan currently serves as Junior Warden and is also Secretary of Christchurch College No.5 of the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia.
Outside Freemasonry, he works in Forensic Mental Health Rehabilitation. His interests sit at the intersection of psychology, symbolism, ritual, history and storytelling—particularly what these traditions can still offer people today.
Through The Masonic Mic, Dan aims to move beyond rehearsed answers and give Freemasons a space for thoughtful, honest and occasionally unconventional conversation.
Co-hostTony Fallon
Tony Fallon is an Irish-born Freemason based in Christchurch and a member of the Avon Shirley Lodge No.185 . A Past Grand Steward and Royal Arch Grand Officer, Tony also serves as a Director Trustee of Freemasons New Zealand, contributing to Research & Education and Audit & Risk.
Originally trained as a radiation therapist, he now works within Health New Zealand and brings experience in leadership, governance and risk to his Masonic involvement.
Tony is a strong advocate for a welcoming and supportive Craft, particularly for newer brethren, and believes Freemasonry should provide different ways for people to contribute rather than focusing solely on rank or progression.
His interests include Masonic education, leadership, ritual, and the sense of belonging fostered by fraternity.
